Frequently Asked Questions and Pricing

What is the pricing for VR escape rooms and games?

We charge £22 per person for a 1 hour session (arcade or escape room), £25 for a premium escape room. This can be any group size the game allows. Remember, escape rooms are usually designed for groups of two or more, but some can be solo. Arcade games can be solo or group, either competitive or cooperative.

Can I play for longer than 1 hour?

You may book for more than one hour, and play for as long as you feel comfortable, although we would suggest a break periodically to rest your eyes. Also, VR is surprisingly tiring, requiring movement and focus. You can book back to back sessions and take breaks when you feel you need to.

Is there help in my VR experience?

Of course. During the experience, there will be a dedicated Game Master who will be available to give clues if you get stuck, or to help with problems, load games or any technical difficulties. They are also there to ensure safety. They will brief you on how to use the equipment and watch the game to reduce risk of injury if the guidelines are not followed.

What are the different ways to move in VR?

Multiplayer rooms are a large open space a group of people can play. Games can either be free roam, or where you move with a controller. Rooms are approx 4.5 m x 4.5 m or more, the walls in VR are your boundaries. If it is a game where you can walk around/free roam, the VR environments are limited to the real world space, but as you progress, the area changes. If it is a controller based movement, you move very little yourself, but you have free reign moving in VR, allowing you to explore the world as you wish, which is much more expansive and larger environments.

For solo games, these are only controller based movement. We will soon have individual rooms for anyone to easily visit and jump right into the action.

What capacity do you have at the venue?

We have 2 multiplayer rooms side by side, which can support up to 4 players depending on the game. We will soon have 3 additional individual pods. Some of our games can go up to a multiplayer size of 6 or 8, but this would need to be planned in advance. We would love to organise a much larger group size, so please contact us for any information.

What happens if I finish quickly?

Our escape rooms are on average 45 minutes in length, which can vary with group size and difficulty, although you may solve them faster! If so you can choose another game or two to play to fill up your allotted hour.

Our arcade games can last from 10 minutes, others are longer. Many of them are round based, so feel free to continue playing the same game if you are enjoying it, many of these games have different settings, areas and difficulties.

Do I need to choose a game when I book?

Ideally at least the first/main game when you book to save time when you arrive, we can get things ready for you. All our games have detailed descriptions. You have up to an hour, so sometimes, some of the harder escape rooms may take you that long. If you complete early, or you have chosen a shorter game, you can choose another to continue playing. You can decide your secondary game in advance to have more play time, choose when you get here, or accept suggestions from the Game Master, it’s up to you.

Are walk-ins available or do I need to book?

We recommend that you book online in advance, to guarantee the time you want, but if we have a free slot when you arrive, we are happy to accept walk-ins.

How are the headsets and venue cleaned?

All headsets and controllers are wiped with an antibacterial cleaner between every session. The rooms and other equipment are cleaned at the end of every day, and deep cleaned once per week.

Can I still play if I wear glasses?

Glasses wearers must note that while most frames will fit within the headset, some large frames may not. Those with only minor sight impairment may find their glasses unnecessary. If you have contacts, we recommend you wear them as it may be more comfortable with the headsets.

Can I play if I'm in a wheelchair or have a mobility impairment?

Yes, we are installing a chair lift soon and many experiences can be set to allow play in a wheelchair or sitting. Please ask if you need further information about which would be suitable for you.

Do you have any age restrictions?

Whilst some games may have a low age rating, due to the size of the headsets and height limitations, we do not recommend anyone under the age of 8 to play or they would have very limited options. we are working on expanding young children's experiences and education in the future.

Some games do have age restrictions due to genre and theme. All under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult (in the venue but not necessarily playing.) Under no circumstances are children allowed to be alone in the venue.

Can I play if I'm pregnant?

In Virtual Reality there is an increased risk of bumping into someone or falling over due to movement in VR with others and what you see being different to reality. If you or any member of your party are pregnant and would be worried about bumping or falling in the real world, we do not recommend you play.

Can I play if I'm epileptic?

At present there is limited information and research on the effects of virtual reality on those who suffer from seizures, in particular photosensitive seizures, so you may find that it does not affect you at all. Many factors can influence the amount of flashing light, such as how quick you move your head, where you look etc. But for safety purposes, due to the nature of this experience, the headset, games and flashing lights we do not recommend it.

Can you really bring your equipment to us?

Yes we can. It would need to be planned, but provided there is enough space and 1 power socket, we can bring a selection of experiences to you.

For a group of up to 6 to play at the same time, you would either need a 6x6m square with no obstacles, or a 2x2m square per player if you have a long thin play area for example.

This is perfect for parties, team building, events etc. We manage all the set up, play time, packing away and transport.
